ACI Aviation Consulting’s Wes Romaine Becomes an ISTAT Certified Appraiser and is Reaccredited by the American Society of Appraisers as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA)

ACI Aviation Consulting’s Vice President, Wes Romaine, has been certified by the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) as an ISTAT Certified Appraiser. To earn ISTAT’s Certified Appraiser designation, candidates must sit for the four certification exams (Appraisal, Ethics & Methodology, Finance, and Technical). Candidates must also have a minimum of five-years of full-time professional experience in aviation related activities (two of which must be spent appraising aviation related assets full-time).

In addition to earning his ISTAT Certification, Romaine was also re-accredited for another five years by the American Society of Appraisers as an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA). In order to meet the American Society of Appraisers’ stringent reaccreditation requirements, designated members must submit evidence of professional growth through continuing education and participation in professional activities every five years. 100 credit hours are required to earn a full five-year reaccreditation. Further, designated members must successfully complete their Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) continuing education requirement. Romaine completed and passed the exam for the 15-Hour USPAP Course for Personal Property, Gems & Jewelry, and Machinery & Technical Specialties in May of 2020.

Romaine is the sixth appraiser worldwide to be dually accredited/certified by both the American Society of Appraisers and International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading. Romaine joined ACI Aviation Consulting in 2009 and has over a decade of experience advising clients within the aviation and finance communities. Romaine specializes in the valuation of aviation-related assets, cash-flow modeling, market research and analysis, as well as lease analysis. Romaine adds to growing number of accredited/certified appraisers on staff at ACI.
